
PPF Kuwait Hosts ‘Enviro ’25’ – World Environment Day Celebration
Kuwait City: The Progressive Professional Forum (PPF) Kuwait successfully hosted the flagship event Enviro ’25, a vibrant and impactful event marking World Environment Day, at the Park Inn by Radisson, Mahboula. The event brought together professionals, students, environmental advocates, and community leaders to promote sustainability and climate-conscious practices.
The General Secretary extended a warm welcome to all office bearers, invited guests, and panelists. The program was formally inaugurated by PPF President, Mr. Prasanth Warrier. A major highlight of the evening was the release of the Environment E-Magazine, featuring inspiring stories and impactful green initiatives. The magazine was unveiled by Mr. Saji Janardhan, General Secretary of the Malayalam Mission – Kuwait Chapter, and handed over by Editor Ms. Sherly Sasi Rajan.
A panel discussion on the theme “Sustainability and Well-being in the Real World” featured distinguished panelists: Dr. Susovana Sujith Nair, Mr. M. Valliappan, Mr. Hussein Gomaa, and Mr. Shiju Thomas. The discussion was moderated by Mr. Prasanth Warrier and offered insightful perspectives on integrating sustainability into both professional and personal life.
One of the most engaging segments of the event was a student presentation titled “The Cost of Space Tourism”, delivered by Elevate 2025 competition winners Adwita Saldanha, Priyanka Pradeep, and Andrea Ann Thomas from FAIPS-DPS, emphasizing the environmental impact of technological advancement.
Participants actively took part in an interactive environmental quiz, with Mr. Robinson emerging as the winner. The ‘Capture Your Green Impact’ Photo Contest award was presented to Mr. Jose Kaitharath, honoring visual storytelling in sustainability.
Felicitation mementos were presented to all panelists and sponsors, including Al Rashed International Shipping Company, Al Zayani, and Phoenix Power Company, in appreciation of their valuable support. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Sooraj Sukumaran, General Convener of Enviro ’25, followed by dinner and networking.
Key office bearers, including PPF Treasurer Mr. Sreejith S, Vice President Adv. Smitha Manoj, and Joint Secretary Mr. Jithin Prakash, were present at the event. The organizing arrangements were led by PPF ExCom members, Mrs. Sherly Sasirajan, Mr.Bipin Punathil, Mr. Kiran K.B., Mr. Gopikrishnan, Mr.Aseem, and Dr. V.V. Rangan, while Dr. Anila Albert served as the Master of Ceremony.
